Desktop OS support

Hi all,

Probably been asked a million times but as a newbie and having had a BB imposed on me does anyone know if RIM plan to release a Linux (ubuntu in my case) version of the desktop. I dont use Windows but am having to use a BB.....

Can anyone from RIM shed some light and make me a happy camper?

Thanks
