Desktop Software will not recognize that phone is connected to the computer

I have downloaded the Desktop Software to my computer, but when I attempt to connect my Blackberry device as instructed it just keeps attempting to connect and cannot do so. I am assuming this is because my phone shut itself down yesterday and keeps attempting to reboot giving me an applciation error 606, which when I phone my provider for support, is a necessary software upgrade, therefore my phone is acting as if the battery is not charged and so I cannot connect to download the software upgrade that I need to do in order for it to function. Any suggestions???

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your device.

 

Please see KB23954 related to the App Error 606 you are seeing and KB10144 for the steps on how to reinstall the software.
