Desktop crashing

Hi - My phone has been unable to synchronise with my desktop for two days. It gets so far through the process and then says it has encountered a problem and has to close. I've tried reinstalling the desktop software but it hasn't worked so I can only assume its a problem with the phone. Can anyone help?

Basically, close the Desktop Manager and delete the intellisync folder:

 

For Xp:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync

 

For Vista:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync

 

Please be sure that hidden files and folders are shown:

Windows XP - go to my computer, tools, folder options, view *show hidden files and folders

Windows Vista - Control Panel, folder options, view *show hidden files and folders
