Re: Intellisync Error Code - 0x80043ac9

Hi,

The location will probably vary based on what operating system (Windows 7, windows XP, etc.) you are using and how you originally installed the Blackberry software.   In my case, under Windows 7, the file is located in the following folder:

  c:\Users\Gary\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\Blackberry\Intellisync

My user name is "Gary", and I am set up with Administrator rights under Windows 7.

I wouldn't count on yours being in the same location -- so you might want to do a search on the entire C: drive you will probably find it.

---- If your problem is also occuring because of a birthday or anniversary earlier than 1/1/1990, consider this.  If you did this recently, and if you sync regularly, perhaps you might remember some recent contacts that you updated with a birthday or anniversary.  Did you put one in before Jan 1, 1900?  If you know the contact involved (which I didn't) you can simply go to that contact and change the offending date.

Good luck!!!!

Re: Intellisync Error Code - 0x80043ac9

Hi,
It sounds like you have 218 contacts on your device. If the above hasn't helped, why not try pulling up each of the 218 contacts on the screen and look at what is stored in the "Birthday" and "Anniversary" fields. Remove any dates before 1/1/1900. Good luck!

Re: Intellisync Error Code - 0x80043ac9

I have removed all birthdays and Anniversary dates from my contacts. I searched for all Calendar entries before January 2011 and removed them.  Still I get the error.

My Trace file says:

10:27:08.222: Phase=10, User=28BD952D: Reading data from Device Calendar

But I don't know how to read this.  How does this point out where the issue is?

Does anyone know how to read this?

Re: Intellisync Error Code - 0x80043ac9

Thanks Gary; worked like a charm.  Indeed, I had added a birthdate in (19)33 whose contact was cited as the reason for the termination.  I didn't really NEED to have my mother-in-law's birthday on my phone, so simply set the Date to "None", re-synced and we're back in the race!  Thanks for the tips and the link to the procedure!!

Re: Intellisync Error Code - 0x80043ac9

I keep getting "Intellisync error code - 0x80043ac9" when trying to sync BBDM (ver 6.0.0.43) with MS Outlook.

When I sync from my device to Outlook, "Processing Device Address Book" stops at record 580 of 1018 records when the error message appears.

From other posts I gather that record 580 might be corrupted, but where do I find record 580 in order to fix this problem?? I could not find a solution from other posts.

Regards,

jiten

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I've never tried this, but I've read about it. If you export from Outlook to a CSV or Excel file, the data will be in the same order as the synchronization uses, which will enable you to find that record.

Good luck!

Excuse me, but you've merely re-posted what you already said in post 16 above. Did you not see the response in post 17?
