Problems with Desktop Manager 7.1 i won't execute

I have the latest version of Desktop Manager.

 

I've started to receive this message today upon opneing the program;

 

Blackberry Desktop Manager Has Stopped Working; Windows is checking for a solution to the problem

 

Of course, windows doesn't find the problem.

 

I've unistalled completely and re-installed and I get the same message. Any advice?

Hello!

I cannot tell if you've conducted the fully "clean" removal and reinstallation...therefore I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

 

It also may be that something else is interfering on your PC...please check anything that you may have installed to your PC just before this behavior began.

I'm thinking the issue is with Windows or the registry.  Make sure you run windows update first.

 

Take a look at

Uninstall the desktop manager if its installed.

Run ccleaner to get rid of temp files and clean the registry.

Delete the research in motion folder.

reboot, run another ccleaner and reinstall the desktop manager

I don't know which OS you're running, but this will get you started in the right direction.
