Software killed my Device

I installed the Mac Desktop Software and as soon as I hooked up my device, it died. Totally dead. Only the red indication light keeps flashing.

Any one can help me figure out the problem or where to get help and support ?

Much appreciated.

Re: Software killed my Device

Have you tried removing the battery and reinstalling it? If you do and it gives you an error message that the system software needs to be installed of 507 (IIRC) you will need to take it to the phone store or a PC with Desktop installed to reload the software. This has happened to me twice now. Hope this helps.

Software killed my Device

I did all that actually, took the battery off and back in, nothing, took it to the store, they fiddled with it for half an hour and ordered me a new one. I am just mad at BB for all this. And there is no way I can call someone and make a complaint without going through all the registrations and the annoying obstacles they have on their website.

It just is very frustrating.
