Did you have a previous version installed and did you uninstall it.

What did it say in the box that came up.

Re: Unable to install

If there is any BlackBerry files left on your computer from the other install and uninstalls they must first be removed before attempting to install again.

Use Windows Search to find these files then delete them.

Re: Unable to install

It might be Windows Installer.

In the run command type:  MsiExec    OK

Tell me your Version and your Computer OS.

Re: Unable to install

You can try this:

At the command prompt, first type MSIExec / unregister, then press Enter and type

MSIExec / regserver, enter

Re: Unable to install

[ Edited ]

I pasted it in case there was anything different, seems not though. I typed what you told me to into command prompt, a box similar or the same as this one came up when I pressed enter. The installer still doesn't work

(This old pc is running on vista btw if this helps)

Re: Unable to install

You have the right Installer but seems not to be working, do this:

Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, Windows Installer, Click Start upper left corner.

If starts without error try install again, if error run this utility:   http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/

In box "What are you trying to do?" click "Install or upgrade software or hardware"

Scroll down to "Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled" click Run Now
