bb playbook after security wipe problem

It was 2days ago that i've got this problem after my kid used the playbook  the battery has drained , so i plug it and let it charged. The moment I check it I turned it on and the menu showed up. But touching the screen all applications can not be open, any applications has same error 48. I even restarted it and shutdown but still error showing, my friend said to reset it to Factory setting using security wipe, so we did it. My problem now is why my device took so long to show up the initial set-up required so I could use it. The whole day it is on but only the logo of blackberry playbook is showing...Help Please

Re: bb playbook after security wipe problem

Hey nanz123,

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

Try forcing the PlayBook to power off and restart, click and hold the Power button for 10 seconds. This will force the BlackBerry PlayBook to power off.

Let me know if this helps

Thanks.

-HB

Re: bb playbook after security wipe problem

I have done that all you are saying but no way the start up settings show up. Anyways thanks. I've sent my bb to a technician and its now ok. I ask him what he did ,and he said he just reformatted the  program..Unlucky it cost me $23 ..
