lock file

The video camera on my Storm has recently started giving problems (but not every time) when I record a video, the phone in the video camera application and won't save the file. Looking through the files on the media card (which is set as the destination to store them) Only to find out the recorded file as "LOCK FILE" therefore, I could not replay the video.

Re: lock file

Guess what, folks, it is still a problem on the Storm 9530.  Does anyone know if the 9550 (Storm 2) corrected this problem.  More importantly, has anyone found a way to unlock a LOCK file?  As of today (4/9/11) I have yet to find a way.

Re: lock file

Easy fix

Plug into a pc, and select usb.

Open your blacberry folder on the pc.

Find the locked file/s.

Rename without the .lock or .lok  thingy (thats a technical term).

Save the file.

Presto....file is ok and readable.
