problems starting desktop manager

hi i hope someone can help!!! iv installed the desktop software to my pc but it will not start up. iv tried re-installing but still having the same problem.

I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. The additional items in step 2, as risky as some are, are often needed to clear out any corruption that might be causal. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Also please make sure that you have installed the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (sometimes the 2.0, 1.1 may be also needed). Checking for windows updates may help also.
