receiving multiple emails with header RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2

I am receiving these messages frequently--a dozen or more today. The body says

This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server. (and then several lines of code)

I've had my Curve for a few weeks and just began getting these messages yesterday. I don't know if it's connected, but it followed an unsuccessful effort to synch my Curve with my home computer.

Please advise!

I am getting this same annoying thing!  Yesterday I had over 200 of these emails and I'm not sure why.  It all started when I dowloaded Desktop Manager to my computer with the redirector, and I am not sure how to correct this.  Can anyone advise?  It's enought to drive me crazy!!!!!

Hi,

This email is the activation email for the Enterprise version of the BB.

If you dont have a BES then you've installed the Desktop manager software incorrectly.

Uninstall the Desktop manager and reinstal it as Blackberry Individual Solution.

Then nplug the handset in.

No more ETP emails!

Re: receiving multiple emails with header RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2

I had BB Desktop installed first on my work PC (BES) and everything was fine. I then installed it at home using the same BES configuration and started getting  the messages. I uninstalled the software on both computers and found that my BES emails weren't received. I ended up wiping the BB and reactivating both email accounts. If I installed the software on my home PC using BIS would this have avoided the problem?

hi, i downloaded some songs for my first time to my curve a couple of days ago and am now getting hundreds of these emails.  i tried your solution but did not see the Blackberry Individual Solutions choice.  I chose Blackberry Enterprise on the reinstall.  But I'm still getting these emails by the hundreds. can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?  Thanks.

Actually, these messages are only sent if Redirector is installed.  It has nothing to do with Blackberry Enterprise Server.  The best way to resolve this problem is to go to Add /  Remove programs, Select "Change / Remove"  and then select "Modify" and reinstall Desktop Software having selected the checkbox for the BIS configuration as opposed to the BES or Blackberry Desktop Redirector configuration.

Hi, Metroberry,

Thanks, but I tried to both modify it and then I uninstalled the Blackberry software and chose the BIS option, but I'm still getting these RIM emails.  I just did it a couple of hours ago and have gotten about 5 email since then.  Is there something else doing it?

Delete the service books. Just go into options, then service books and delete each service book individually. Then go into your BIS account and resend your service books. OR go to options, advanced options and then host routing table and press menu button, then press register now. If you do not know your username and pw for BIS call rogers tech support.

Hi,

Thanks.  I opened my BB Desktop Mgr. (it says Disabled) and pulled down the Options menu, but didn't see either any Service Books or Advanced Options.  Am I in the wrong place?
