reload software 552

i have a blackberry 8900 and i have only had it since september and about 2 days ago i downloaded an app called foursquare, which is not a bad app, so then my phone restarted and showed a white screen with writing saying 'reload software 552' i tried taking the battery out, i tried going on app loader and deleting almost all my apps, and when i go to the blackberry desktop, i have the latest version, it says my phone is not connected, i never backed up my files because i never thought this would happemn, please help i don't know what to do!!
