restoring from backup

I recently replaced my curve 9300 with a refurbished curve 9300, I have two issues;

1) when I restored my contacts from my backups on got outdated information, numbers that had changed as much as two years ago.  I backup my phone to my pc every day, so how did that happen and how do I get my contacts back, and how do ensure this doesn't happen again?

2) when I synchronize, I get the message that I have 44 contacts in outlook that are not valid--they were perfectly fine with my old phone.

Re: restoring from backup

1. Check your backup files on your PC, normally in your MyDocuments folder... do you see the recent backup files you need?

2. Don't know, perhaps the sync was skipping them then.

Re: restoring from backup

  • Connect your BlackBerry to the PC
  • Run the Desktop Software; if any updates are recommended, cancel them.
  • Click on Device > Restore Data
  • Choose the most backup file you prefer.
  • Proceed with the prompts to restore. You can choose "Select Data", and only restore the Address Book, if you choose.
