Re: sync error

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Here is a KB that discusses that error:

  • KB31008 Error "CRTranRec:: GetLinkedRecordId : Invalid linked record Id" is displayed when synchronizing with the BlackBerry Desktop Software

Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

Good luck and let us know!

Re: sync error

Why post links to pages that just say "We don't know"? And say "Hope it helps"????

Hello,

Well, I suppose it would be that I hope that RIM may well update that KB someday with some more useful information, and then at that point the link will be more useful that it is today, and this thread can "live on" as reference to someone in the future. I agree that I wish there were more help for that situation now, but there isn't. The only thing I've come up with (subsequent to this thread) is to recommend that folks do a clean start over, and perhaps fall back to a prior version of the Desktop Software (and there is a totally separate thread that discusses how to do that).

Or do you perhaps think that I work for RIM? If so, you are quite mistaken indeed...

In any event, good luck to you!
