Is the 7.1 software ever coming to the uk cause O2 are taking ages to release it ???

There's not a carrier worldwide that will give you a forward-thinking response such as the one you're requesting.

O2 is a large carrier with many subscribers.  They already have 7.1 in their possession and when their support staff is properly trained to support it, you can bet they'll release it.

make sure you remove the vendor file before installing it onto your device, this is found in C:\Program files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader\

its a .xml file, right near the bottom of the page. 

i've got os 7.1 on my curve 9360 in the uk from this page, can say it works absolutely fine!

I have done all that but when i run the apploader it onlny shows the third party appls i have install . when i press the add button and search for the new axl files, when i load them says th at the app it not compatibble with my device

Ihave a 9360 curve and run on vista

i think what you have done is run the application installer from within blackberry desktop software, what you need to do  is this :

1) Download the software from the link

2) Install the software to your computer

3) When the software has installed, go to My computer -> C:\Program FIles (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader\vendor.xml (DELETE THIS .xml FILE !!!!!!! )

4) Go to Blackberry desktop software, plug in your blackbery. It should automatically say there is an update available. Follow the on screen instructions and install it to your device.

Thanks for your reply . I solved the problem .turns out there were two vendor files.when I deleted the second one the update worked.
