Anti-virus

Hey guys,

What kind of anti-virus protection does blackberry have? Going online on a PC, it is recommended to have an AV programme, so whatabout blackberry devices? What or who protects it?

Please use plain text.

Re: Anti-virus

Hello,

Here is a KB that discusses anti-virus and BBs:

  • KB19154What is anti-virus protection on BlackBerry smartphones.

To my knowledge, there is no add-on anti-virus...nor any need for same.

Good luck!

Re: Anti-virus

Agreed.

You cannot have an "anti" virus for a virus of which there is none.

In otherwords, an antivirus, just like a human flu or virus medication, is developed based ON the virus strain that is circulating among humans. Companies like Norton or AVG develop antivirus based on the present and past viri out there.
