AppWorld completely blocked

Meanwhile I downloade one App from Appworld device get off.

I restarted it, but Appworld remains open as icon in menu press fuction, but not function as other App.

So I pull down battery for 5 minutes.

Result It's the same.

Appworld doesn't start but doesn't closed.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!


Please try this sequence:

1) Remove AppWorld from your BB

  • KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
  • If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so

2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld

4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot

5) See if it now works.

I have made all you write down.

Delete App, reboot, battery pull ecc ecc

Nothing. Appworld doesn't starts but if i push for 1 second menu botton(the button between green button and trackpad)

I can see as one of the App that are working.

 

So I reapet ALL procedure another one time but AppWorld has always the same result.

 

How can I solve?

Your issue is very odd...I have never before heard of AppWorld auto-launching and remaining persistent. So we must try other things.

 

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.



But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

I have done this passes:

-Access in Safe Mode.

-Repeate installation w/reset and Batt pull.

 

Neither....But I found in the application setup that AppWorld had ALL privileges to access as "deny"; and this every time I reinstalled Appworld.....so that I think the only solution it's Wipe and Restore, ....unless you have another solution

From your words, I do not fully understand how you used Safe Mode to diagnose your situation. But no matter...if it didn't help, then indeed as I said, the next steps become progressively more intense, starting with as you say Wipe/Restore. I would suggest, however, not bothering to restore your data until you are sure you have a stable platform.
