I have my BB Storm hooked up as a USB device. I have several lecutures and classical music I want to keep on my BB for listening. I drag and drop them from my desktop computer to the BB directory \Music
The directory structure on my BB when I go to Media > Music seems to be: All songs <== all my audio files are here as AudioTrack 01, Audio Track 02, etc. Artists Albums Genres Playlists Sample Song
The directory structure as it appears on my Windows desktop: G:\Blackberry\Music\Bach \Beethoven \Misc
My questions are: 1) How do I move files from my desktop computer to the BB into a dirctory structure that will make sense once they are on the BB? As it is now, everything just gets tossed into "All Songs" 2) Is there any way to rename the files on the BB so I can tell them apart? 3) How can I create a directory named "Lectures" on the BB media card?
for 1) and 3) you can access all that using the Media Explorer. Home Screen >> Media >> menu >> explore
2) for the regular Media application : there is no folder thing because the filing is done with the ID3tags (meta info about the files). So if you want to be able to distinguith the files you have to set info in them. That is easily done for MP3 songs using Mozilla SongBird or using tag&rename or iTunes for example.
