BB curve email setup problem.

Hi folks

I am trying to help a collegue setup her email on her Curve. When I type in her email address and password for her email I get the response..."Blank username. Type a valid username."The email is the same one used to login to Appwrld and one she uses regularly.

Is that at the initial BIS acoount login screen? That doesn't take the BlackBerryID, but a BIS account login username (not an email address).

It is using the email setup wizard. I have told it I want to setup an email account on the phone. The screen that then comes up requires a username and password, I enter her email adress and password and it then gives me that response. This is the same details as her blackberry I D

Ok, if this is a brand new device, that is not the place to enter the BlackBerryID.

It's asking for the BIS account username and login

 

If it's not know, call your mobile provider tech support and ask them.

Hi,
I have juts transfered all my infos from my bb Bold to the new Curve. I have the same pb and cant get around it.
I open set up - create new email - and get the answer " username or password incorrect". Any clues?
