Error message "download failed" everytime!!

Hi I am facing a really annoying issue, everytime I try to download something via the internet browser, music, pictures, podcats or pdf files, it says "download failed", I've cleared the cache everytime before a download, and didn't work, I've rebooted the phone before a download, didn't work. Do you by any chance have any tips on how to resolve this?

From where are you trying to download this information? 

 

What is your signal showing under Options>Status?

 

What BlackBerry device are you using? What is your software version installed under Options>About?

Hi hmthepirate,

I'm trying download these files from all different websites, such as mp3bear, bombmp3. I tried to download this mixtape of a song, it was 88mb is size, it started sownloading, got to 21% and then failed. So I tried again and it got to 35% and failed.

My signal is usually quite high, it doesn't drop from 3G to GPRS when I'm downloading. My signal status is usually around -70 or so.

I'm using a BlackBerry Bold 9700 with software version 6.0.0.344

The software version installed on your BlackBerry is not supported. BlackBerry 6 has not been officially released by Research In Motion.

Only software officially released by your carrier is supported for application functionality.

You can go to your carrier's download site for supported software by visiting here.

 

One you are running supported software, try the download again.

i m using curve8520  cant download any thing every time fails it go upto 20% to 30% aftr tat its fail why ????

I'm using a 9300 curve and I to have the same problem. My service provider says that a block has been put on downloading. I'm an MTN user

I also had the same problem with MTN after I had my 9300 curve for 3 months.... MTN and Vodacom have a problem where if they see if a used is downloading to much on BIS, they stop it.... your downloads only loads to a point and stop showing download error... then without downloading, just browsing the Internet for 2 minutes, I would be disconnected. I got angry with both networks, and joined a signed contracted with CellC.... been with them for the last 5 months on a z10... have had no problems. my 9300curve, I have changed over to prepaid on CellC, which I download music videos and even movies well over 1.5GB with no problem... make the change to CellC and you will keep your MTN / Vodacom number....
