Google syncing calendars

I have a BB 8350i with Nextel, use a comcast email address and have been using a google cal that I built for a assoc I'm pres of and is  linked to about 30 section heads that edit and add events to the assoc's cal. I've been using google sync to keep my BB upto date with the assoc. cal. I've been doing this for over three months now with no trouble.

At some point I'm not sure when it stopped syncing. It now only syncs to my primary cal on google and not the assoc's cal. At some point I created a gmail account and I think thats when this all stopped working. I've found where I can import and export the assoc cal to my primary cal and that syncs to the BB,  but it's not going to keep my cal on my BB live with the assoc cal.

I'm really loosing hair over this as it it the assoc BB and It is provided to me to keep track of what is happening at the assoc.

If anyone understands this enough to help me it would be greatly appreciated as I do not know where to turn next. I've tried the google help with negitive results.

Thank you

Jerry

Re: Google syncing calendars

Hi and welcome to the forums!

On the Blackberry please go to calendar, options, post the total number of calendars, the records in each

and the names, (don't use your real email address). Then go to options

advanced options, default services, and post the CICAL and CMIME  values

Thanks,

Re: Google syncing calendars

Thank you for posting to help me.

I went to cal, options and I can not change anything there.

I also went to options, advanced, defalt services and can see both cical and cmime and can hightlight them but cannot change anything....

What I see in cal options is general options, conference calls then calendars as a different heading and my email adress is there, I click on it and cal propertys comes up  and has options to change color and wireless sync and display reminders. the a line and number of entries and I can not change that.

I'm lost

Thanks

Let's hold that until I actually HELP you, OK? :smileywink:

Are the CICAL and CMIME values your Gmail account?

On the calendar for your email account (the Google account, correct?) scroll to the bottom, under Number of Entries does it have a number?

Are you using Google sync on your Blackberry? The icon is pictured below.

I'm lost

gdoc - go to your blackberry calendar then click your menu key then options and see if you can see how many calendars that way.

Re: Google syncing calendars

Hi,

Using Google Sync makes a big difference in the situation.

Google Sync is an application that manages the transfer of data between

the Google programs. The Blackberry only "hosts" the Goggle Sync program receiving

the data passed from the Google application. I would suggest you delete and reinstall

the Google Sync application to reestablish the synchronization on the Blackberry.

I would also check the settings of your main online Google calendar as well.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Re: Google syncing calendars

Hi,

To delete the application from the Blackberry:

At the homse screen, options, advanced options, applications, highlight Googlesync don't click on it.

Menu key, select delete. I always follow this by a battery pull or QuickPull restart.

You don't need the PC or desktop manager.

Thanks,

No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.
Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.
