hmmm I did some checking on the file downloads you provide on your web page, the smart phone updates are .EXE only, that means they can NOT be downloaded onto a mac computer as mac is .app  .exe is WINDOWS ONLY, and I can find NO support for linux eitehr ,  black berry is not supported by linux or mac os x, the ONLY thing i can do acess my sd micro memory card and upload my photo's and video's.

Wrong. You can upgrade, sync data and media via the MAC OS version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software. You cannot do the manual upgrades as I instructed above via MAC or Linux.

You can however run Parallels or BootCamp on your MAC to run Windows.

1. Does the device have a BIS Data Plan on Vodafone?

2. Is the device unlocked for use on Vodafone?

Re: How To Reload Your Operating System

Hi there,

Follow the instructions in the first page on this thread. If your computer will not recognize your phone in Step 2, unplug your phone and remove your battery. Then, plug your phone back in and as soon as your PIN or PIN:UNKNOWN comes up, press Next. If you miss it, don't worry, just unplug your phone and plug it back in to try it again. Once you've managed to get your computer to see the phone, you can reinsert your battery and proceed with the OS installation.

I hope that info helps!
