Hi, I need to stop looking at porn. Is it possible to set up some kind of filter for my Blackberry Curve? My service provider can't help and Google hasn't turned up anything either.

BES is apparently useful but I'm not sure how to set this up as a home user. I don't have the internet at home. I'm not sure what this board is like, never posted before, please don't flame me for talking frankly. Specific tech help only please, not looking for a discussion about porn/addiction/christianity etc.

If porn is getting past gmail's filters, you're pretty much out of luck with this e-mail account.

You probably need to setup a new e-mail account and make sure you don't use it online (when signing up for things).

You can create an unlimited qty of filters in your gmail account to sort unwanted emails out.

Obviously an unlimited # of filters is not practical if he's getting numerous e-mails with porn and most if not all of them will arrive from a unique address each time with a different subject.

This kind of thing sucks. My company had to put up a barracuda firewall to limit these things getting through and they still can slip by.  Here is my advice:

1. only get your porn from reputable companies - bbpinkvisual.com is one that doesn't spam

2. set up a dummy email to use for anything that might not be reputable - yahoo is great for this

3. Create subject filters for the following:

[SPAM]

blonde

brunette

sexy

wife

teen

hard

young

You would be amazed at home much just those terms will catch.
