Internet problems - Blackberry Curve 3G (9300)

Hello,

 

I went to the US and bought my Blackberry Curve 9300 there and unlocked it, to use it in Brazil. I got back to Brazil yesterday and I have signed for the blackberry plan with my mobile company. I used the internet yesterday wonderfully (including wi-fi), but today it stopped working. I have contacted the company and they told me the plan is working well, so the problem must be the cell phone, not the services. Also, I should be able to connect to the wireless service at my house, but I can't. I keep getting the following error " Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider."

 

Can somebody please help me?

Try a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache liek rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.


As to the wireless, have you updated your routers firmware?

what speed does it work at?

Actually it did not work. It is really strange because it was working normally and now it is not anymore.

Regarding the wireless, it was working on monday and tuesday... but then it stopped working all of a sudden.

One more thing: when try to enter the WAP it works!

But BBM does not work neither can I receive or send e-mails through BlackBerry.

Can anybody please help me?

Hello. I have security wiped my BB and now I cannot setup my regular email account (only entreprise) and cannot connect to Windows Live Messenger or BBMessenger. Also, one more thing: the internet browser is no longer available, only the Hotspot Browser and the Wap.

 

Can anybody help me, please?

Hi there!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):

1) Register HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > blackberry_logo.jpg (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now



2) Resend Service Books

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service



3) Batt Pull Reboot

  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.


Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

hey buddy, no worries i have the same problem, all i had to do is turn off the blackberry and turn it on again, it should say reading sim card and the internet should re-adjust and its fixed!
