Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

NO u can't,coz you need to be able to locate your device wirelessly and without Blackberry Protect that's imposible.unless you have a third party app intalled for the same reason.

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

Hi. My curve got stolen and I bought a z10. When I restored my BBM, I saw d contacts of the guy that's using my stolen phone. My question is this, is it still K for me to use the same BlackBerry ID on my z10.
I have changed my password but can he have access to my chats, although since I deleted his contacts and all, I haven't seen it again. Or should I just reset my phone. Thanks for u r efforts.

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

I think you're safe to use the old and same BlackBerryID.

Now, with the new Z10, using the BlackBerryID on the new device, it basically makes it unusable on the old device in BBM, so he cannot. Changing the BBID is smart to do. You should be ok.

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

I don't think you do, I don't think anything has been compromised now, especially that you have changed the BBID password. The BBID on the former device will be bad on the old device and no longer accessible.

You must have remote WIPED or LOCKED the device BEFORE you blocked the network (SIM) on the device. Sorry.
