Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

No, sorry, the Protect cloud-held data can only be restored to another BlackBerry.

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

My 9860 was stolen too. I called my service provider to block the pin and imei

He said, it's already blocked and damaged. I went to the branch of my service provider to make sure that it is already blocked and they did. After 2 days, I called again to make sure and the customer rep said that it is already blocked. Then this morning, I tried to send message to my old pin and it prompted me to re-invite, so I invited the pin and someone accepted my invitation and we were chatting until now. How to contact RIM / BlackBerry directly so they could block the phone. Please help....

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

My phone was stolen and it is the Curve 9320. I need it to be wiped but I don't have a password. Can it be done?

Are you referring to not having the password to your BlackBerryID, in order to login to your Protect account?

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

I lost my BB Q10 yesterday and bought a new BB Q5 expecting to be able to restore the back up data from the Q10 to the Q5 (which the dude at the shop said I could). Now I find that I can't restore the backup. Is there any way of getting around this? I don't have the lost phone to make a switch. I need the phone contacts etc. Thanks

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

If you had Protect installed on the lost device, you can connect your BBID to the new device and use your Protect account.

Scroll up to the initial post in this thread for details on Protect.
