Yes I have and the last back up is there on link. But when I try to restore it to the Q5 it doesn't work and nothing is restored. I thought the Q5 and Q10 systems are similar. Why can't I restore the Q10 backup to the Q5 ?

The are similar, yes. However, if the Q5 is a lower OS version than the Q!0, it won't restore. Do you recall the OS version on the Q10, and what OS is on the Q5? Look at your Settings > About

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

Hi there,
My phone was lost/stolen. No bb protect. No password. Had the phone deactivated. I understand the emails and texts etc can be seen. Can the current "owner" continue to have access to future info somehow despite change of password, and that the phone has been decativated? What should I worry about and possibly do? Can you wipe the device even though you don't have bb protect?

How did you have the "phone deactivated?"

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

Hi, I have read most of the post. But I really need some information. My blackberry device was stolen yesterday, I have installed BB protect in that device, and regularly back up my data. And now, I need to restore my data to a new bb device. But I also need to wipe the data in the stolen device. What should I do first? If I wipe it now, can I still be able to restore the data from the back up to a new bb device?

Please help. Thank you so much.

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

Restore your backup first

You can even force one last backup from the lost device first, then restore.

Re: Lost or Stolen BlackBerry -- What to do?

My blackberry Torch 9800 was stolen a few days ago. I am concerned about the access to my emails etc. I did not have BB protect. What can I do to wipe my phone? My phone provider has already disabled my sim card. any advice will be much appreciated.

I am in the same situation as you. How did you deactivate your phone?
