Re: New Zealand DST error

Does the cdo.dll file apply to BES Server for Lotus Domino?

Anyway, if you wish to patch a single handset rather than patch the BES server for all handsets (you may only have a few NZ users like me) you can do the following from the devices browser (Also fixes Australian DST issue):

First you need to download the official North American 2007 DST patch, found here:

http://www.blackberry.com/dst2007

Then, after applied and rebooted apply the International 2008 DST update found here.

http://www.blackberry.com/dst2007/patches/carrier/4.2/Spring08/net_rim_bb_timezoneupdater.jad

or for earlier bberry OS try:

http://www.blackberry.com/dst2007/patches/carrier/4.1MR4/Spring08/net_rim_bb_timezoneupdater.jad

Lastly, Voda in NZ seem to have a guide for patching all the various servers. Any tried this and confirm it's the server based solution?

Cheers.

Re: New Zealand DST error

We had the dll from the sp2 installation already, but there has been an update released by MS in Feb that updates the dll again to version 6.5.7654.12. The update is detected and installed on Exchange boxes, but was not detected as necessary on this box, so we manually downloaded and installed this and this rectifed the problem. The update is Exchange2003-KB959897-x86-ENU.exe.

The update requires you to stop services etc, so it is disruptive and we did a reboot post installation to ensure all was well.

Re: New Zealand DST error

I can confirm that installing KB959897 onto our BES (v4.1.6.9 with all previous DST patches applied) also fixed the problem for me (NZ site).

Re: New Zealand DST error

i took the risk and resolved my issue by:

- unregister cdo.dll on BES

- copy cdo.dll from Exchange and paste to BES

- re-register cdo.dll on BES

- reboot BES

Afterward event created/updated on Blackberry shows up correctly in Outlook.

Good luck everyone!
