Re: Option to turn BBM off or on when you want.

And, I don't feel your doormat comment was justified either.

Perhaps if you understood BBM better, or were open-minded enough to accept the "always-on" purpose of the application, you wouldn't be so hot 'n bothered. But I suspect being pompous is more important to you than building relationships, so you are what you are, and BBM is what it is.

For me, I don't need to sign-in as another person. I am one, no split personalities nor a need to decide I want to be someone else for a period.

You might enjoy another messenger application better. I think the old AOL Messenger allows you to be different people.

Re: Option to turn BBM off or on when you want.

If you are using OS 7 or later (not sure about 5 and 6) go to "OPTIONS" then "SECURITY" then "PARENTAL CONTROL" ,Enable parental control then scroll down and untick BBM then save .....this will block bbm and if you want to activate it again just re-tick it again..... If you are using parental control for the first time you will be promted to create a 4-digit pin which you will require to enable or disable parental control.........Hope this is helpful

Yes, that works for making it unusable, however the BBM application still runs in the background.

Jsanders, I thought your response to felim-doyle was unfair. He wasn't personally attacking you.

I think his initial insulting doormat-user generalization was unfair.

So our opinions differ and so does yours, and it was over a year and half ago, I'm over it.

Time for you to move on past it.  :smileywink:
