Plans to give the Facebook app a facelift?

I just downloaded the new MySpace app and I have to say that it is **bleep** sexy.  What a great app.  I really like how easy it is to browse someone profile, flip through their pics, view their wall... etc.

Are there any plans to put some of these awesome features in the Facebook app?

I don't know why but somehow the websites are better than the application for blackberry.

Check http://m.facebook.com/ and http://iphone.facebook.com/

you can browse most of the profile of your friends (including photos and wall), as well as groups.

Re: Plans to give the Facebook app a facelift?

I agree that the BB Facebook app definitely needs some renovations.  One of the best changes the Facebook website has made in the past year has been the ability to comment on pretty much anything... for example, I enjoy browsing through all of my friends' status updates and commenting on some of them to start mini-threads without having to write on their wall.  I'm sure I could come up with a huge wish list for Facebook for BB enhancements, but this one just happened to be on the top of my head... RIM, please give us the ability to read and write comments on at least the sections the application currently supports!

thanks,

Rob

Re: Plans to give the Facebook app a facelift?

well, I can do all that using http://m.facebook.com/ .
The only things I can't do :
  • use some applications for Facebook (no Vampires or Gifts or Causes...)
  • view videos
  • send message as group admin to all members

I've had some problems with doing things on the mobile website... i'll give it another try though.  It would be nice if there was a friendlier interface (through the app) to do some of these actions though.

Re: Plans to give the Facebook app a facelift?

I'll have to say... the blackberry is the best phone i have ever owned.

I tried the iphone and after a day i realized it was ultra-cool... i just didn't want it as my primary phone.  i'll probably pickup the itouch so i can still play with all the cool apps.

so i picked up a curve.  even though the apps aren't there yet...  it's still the best phone i've ever had.
