True that... I agree. 

 

I think RIM should look into improving the MAC-to-BB software.  A lot of BB users are MAC... :smileysad:

Dug out my old pc laptop.  Super slow but after 2! hours finally got the phone reset.  Thanks!

ATT USERS:

 

  I just got off the phone with customer service, and I didn't even have to get to the real source of my problem (this update bug) before I was able to find a way to work around this. No, this will not fix the Email Setup Application, RIM has clearly messed up in that regard and will need to release some sort of fix for that. But my problem was that I had to change my email password this morning because someone hacked my email account, so then naturally I had to update it on my Blackberry, which would normally be done through my device but that's obviously broken (why this thread even exists). Furthermore, I can't seem to log into att.blackberry.com or create a new account (it tells me I can't access it through HTML browser or whatever).

 

The service rep sent me a text message with a link to https://bis.na.blackberry.com/wap?brand=mycingular and from there I was able to edit my password, thus giving my access to my email on my phone again. Also, underneath it was the option to Crate a New Account as well for anyone needing to do that.

 

I hope this works out for some of you ATT users out there.

 

Oh, and let's fix this problem already RIM!

 

P.S. Don't forget you need to access that link through Blackberry Browser on your Blackberry device!
