The previous WLM version worked perfectly for me. A couple of days ago I upgraded OTA to the new version of WLM. The installation seemed to go fine, and the app loads properly, but whenever I try to connect I just see the "connecting" prompt with the spinning icons, and then I get "Connection Error (65): Problem receiving data from the server".
There is an entry on this forum for this error on a 8320, and it says the issue is the APN setting. I've had the same APN setting (internet.com) on this BB for quite some time, and it always worked with the previous WLM version. I've tried changing the APN with no luck, and I've resent the service books as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

If nobody has the answer to this question, can you please let me know who I can contact for support? RIM? The Windows Live Messenger team?

So since nobody had any answers, I've gone ahead and solved this issue myself:
1) Deleted Windows Live Messenger from device (Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications)
2) Removed all WLM related service books (Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Book)
3) Rebooted device
4) Re-installed WLM
5) Re-sent service books to device from providers BIS website
Everything worked fine after that.
I'd like to thank myself for figuring this out. Cheers.

Hi! i also have a bb cuve 8900, since i got it, WLM hasn't worked, (it came with WLM version 2.5.30) whenever I tried to connect, i got a msg that said "invalid email or address" which wasn't possible since that is my login and password. So i upgraded it to 2.5.32, it still didn't work
i tried almost everything i read here, still not working. Someone posted some instructions similar to yours, only different in the last item, and since I'm new to bb, I am still a little bit lost, could you explain what u mean by "Re-sent service books to device from providers BIS website"?
thanks so much for ur help, i've really tried everything i can think of, but i still can't make it work!

I have a feeling that since it never worked right, you may have a bigger issue.
Is your Blackberry a personal device, that you activated through a wireless carrier, or is it a device that you got through your job? If it is from work, you may be on a Blackberry Enterprise Server. If you are, it might be a policy of that server to block WLM. Either way, I'm not that familiar with BES, and I think you would have to ask an administrator to push the service books to your device.
If it is a personal device, you should be able to access your carrier's BIS website. The site address will vary depending on your provider (http://www.blackberry.orange.co.uk/, http://rogers.blackberry.com/ etc). You can get the info from your provider, or you can likely find it through Google.
Once you have accessed the site and logged in, there will be an option to "send service books". In newer versions of BIS this option is found in the "Help" section, but in older versions I think it was under the "Settings" menu.

email wont connect windows live error 65 etc go to options , advanced options then host routing table , press menu key , then click on register , u will recieve a email from blackberry saying registration complete , then it takes anything up to 24 hours for all blackberry apps to be up and running, DO NOT REGISTER UNTILL U HAVE A BLACKBERRY TARIFF OR BLACKBERRY WILL BLOCK UR HANDSET MAKEING THE PHONE USELESS, hope this info is usefull for any blackberry users.
