update torch 9810 to 7.1

Hi All,

 

i downloaded from T-Mobile ftp site the 7.1.0.284 BB firmware and i have installed on my pc the exe file. I tried to install by BB desktop manager on the device but i can't. I use the BBdm 6.1.0 version. Anyone can help me how i do?

I tried to search on the internet and a lot of forum...but 0 solution :smileyhappy:

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

1. You've already done this >> Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

TRIED but DOES'T work :smileysad:

 

I saw only the third party sw application to remove or add in the box but not the BB OS that i have installed on my pc

Search your entire PC for "vendor.xml" and delete ANY and ALL instances of the file.
