5.0.4 MR4: Exch 2010 users won't sync calendar, 2007 works fine

[ Edited ]

We configured our BES 5.0.4 MR4 servers to connect to our new Exchange 2010 environment per http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB22601. After following those steps we've found that Exchange 2010 users only cannot send/receive/sync meeting invites to/from devices. The problem only applies to calendar sync - email and contacts sync is unaffected. Exchange 2007 (our current mail environment) is completely unaffected. Notes regarding our environment and the issue:

-Three BES 5.0.4 MR4 servers in production are all affected. I'm focusing troubleshooting on one of these "problem" servers for simplicity. Once I find a solution I will apply it to the other prod servers.

-One test BES 5.0.4 MR4 server is not affected (for some unknown reason).

-We utilize F5 load balancing between CAS servers but whether we go through them or bypass them the issue persists.

-Production servers and the test server have their MAPI profile pointed to the same Exchange 2010 server. We currently have bypassed the load balancer for troubleshooting.

-Enabling BES to use EWS has no effect on the issue.

-The same service account is in use between the functioning test server and the problem production server.

-CDO and MAPI DLL requirements (step 1&2 in the above KB) have been met.

-I've run through the migration KB (above) multiple times already.

-The CALH logs for the "problem" server is empty. For the "working" server they show calendar entries.

-What look to be the relevant log lines for this issue on the "problem" server are below. This represents a meeting request sent to the user via Outlook:

-When creating a meeting request with invitees on the device the meeting message hangs and then fails in the "desktop" email folder with the error message "Message Status: Unlisted message error".

-Creating appointments on the device that have no invitees causes the meeting not to sync back to Exchange. Meetings created within Outlook do not appear on the device.

-I've verified that the devices exhibiting the problem all have wireless calendar sync enabled.

-This issue affects multiple Exchange 2010 accounts and we've used multiple BB devices in testing. The issue has reproduced on multiple BES servers in our environment as well.

Thanks in advance for looking and for any assistance you can provide. Right now BB support is drawing a blank on this one so hopefully all of you can do better.

Re: 5.0.4 MR4: Exch 2010 users won't sync calendar, 2007 works fine

Did you move the BESAdmin account to the 2010 server?

Did you recreate the MAPI profile on BES?

are you using CDO or EWS? EWS would be better since 2007 and 2010 support it

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the service accounts' mailboxes are in Exchange 2010. Yes, I re-created the MAPI profile on BES. We've tried using both EWS as well as CDO and both exhibit this problem.
