Adding Torch to BES 4.1

I posted this over in the Torch forum first, then realized that it was more of a BES issue and might be more likely to get a response here.

Our company is moving to Telus from Rogers and I'm curious if I'm able to continue to use the existing BES 4.1 server and Exchange 2003 with new Torch devices (existing devices are Curves).

Has anyone done this?

My apologies for the cross post,

Rob

Re: Adding Torch to BES 4.1

Thank you - I've done as the KB directed, so I'll now get a Torch and give it a try.

Much appreciated.

Re: Adding Torch to BES 4.1

Are OTA activations still available with BES 4.1 and the Torch? I see that you can remotely wipe and enforce passwords, but I don't want to give up anything useful by "upgrading" to BESX.

If there really are no downsides (other than throwing away a pile of bought and paid for licenses) then I'd be OK to install BESX on my Exchange server thus freeing up one Windows server license.

As far as IT policies go, we really don't use many, and we don't use the MDS or push any applications to users, if that makes a difference.
