Blackberry 8700 email synch issue

Hi all,

I have a Blackberry 8700 (its like a brick). v4.2.194 (Platform 2.3.0.77) with an email issue.

When a user deletes an email in Outlook, the email does not delete from the BB.

I have tried email reconciliation on the handeld, and I have also tried wiping the device and re-activating it on BES (5), however the issue still exists.

 

Any help or advise would be most appreciated, thanks.

Ive tried activating the user on a different (newer) Blackberry but the issue exists on there too.

We're going to try a new SIM card to see if this is the cause

This will explain a lot about reconcile and hard deletes

I have also changed the messages state size to 1000 and it cured 99% of our issues.
The performance hit and RAM increase is almost nil on the BES box.

On Device also double check:

Make sure that Wireless Reconcile is set to On. Sometimes toggling that to off, saving it, then turning it back on.
Messages Options - Email reconciliation -
Delete on Mailbox and handheld,
wireless reconcile = Yes
On conflicts = Mailbox wins.

If still not working and you moved a user mailbox.

Hi knottyrope,

Many thanks for your response.

I have actually resolved this by changing an easily missed setting on the device.

Reconciliation settings were set to delete mail from Mailbox only.

I changed this to Mailbox and Handheld and all is well now.

I feel like a right narna for missing this initially, but thanks anyway for your response here.
