the main thing i noticed was that the blackberry service was changed to now use a new account i called bes_admin

. As i was using the domain administrator account.

any ideas?

If you messed up the service account then maybe its time for this

Also a good read

What is the BESAdmin service account?

Re: Calender will not sync with Outlook at all on BES 4.1

oliver and knotty!!! you are both legends!! ALL ISSUES FINALLY @!#!@#!#!#! RESOLVED!!! WAHOOOOO!

The last issue was resolved following knoty last post, as the new service account i was using did not have send as persmission etc in domain. the other issues for calender not syncying was due to two things:

1) service account i was using for bes was a domain administrator

2) i had installed office xp on the bes server which stuffed the cdo and mapi. so these had to be redone from scratch.

I have learnt alot about bb during this process and would really like to thank knotty and oliver for all there help and any one else i may of missed.

This forum and users get a thumbs up from me. cheers

Re: Calender will not sync with Outlook at all on BES 4.1

Glad we were able to help. You had a messed up service account and sometimes hard to prove it when other things are working well.
