Re: Enterprise activation Z10 fail after 'Deleting previous workspace'

Hi,

I had already created the email profile. We use lotus notes thus the server name is that of our Traveler server. The Blackberry Enterprise Service 10 server is in a different zone and I cannot ping the Traveler server. I assume the activation cannot be done, because the Blackberry enterprise server cannot communicate with the traveler server. I will update you once network team has done needful.

Thanks

Arvind

Hi . .

Re: Enterprise activation Z10 fail after 'Deleting previous workspace'

Hi guys,

I foud a SOLUTION for my problem:

Error Message:
- Failed to create certificate directory: \\A1wapapp40\APPS\\Shared\Certificates\WWW
Enrollment failure [ perimeter id : 187] Error [errorCode: 30]

Solution:
Remove Backslash in the Path!
Configure the BAS to use the shared folder (in the RIGHT way)
1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the left pane, expand BlackBerry Solution Topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component View.
2. Select BlackBerry Administration Service.
3. Scroll to the bottom and select Edit Component.
4. In the Network Drive section enter the details of the shared drive

...

cheers

Daniel

Re: Enterprise activation Z10 fail after 'Deleting previous workspace'

Hi,

I checked and the field is empty 'BlackBerry Administration Service shared network drive'; where should I create the shared drive?

I would like to check several things with you:

We have Active Directory only for authentication purposes, what I have done is to add the E-mail to the Active directory user property. Is that enough or there is other configuration to be done? From what I have read it seems like AD is used only for authentication. Should AD server be able to access Traveler server?

I have no SCEP profile in 'email profile settings', is it mandatory?

Do I need to use SSL with traveler? The server name in 'email profile settings' should be the same as the one used to configure activesync on Iphone or android? Since the BES server will connect to local traveler server; can I just use the internal IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/servlet/traveler?

Should activation password on BES and web mail password be same?

Thanks,

Arvind

Re: Enterprise activation Z10 fail after 'Deleting previous workspace'

This suggestion resolved our issue - BES10.2 - Exchange.

same error message, found that the network path was not accessible and server service was stopped under windows service.

once completed it resolved the issue.

Re: Enterprise activation Z10 fail after 'Deleting previous workspace'

Hi, we are also having the same setup as you, did you manage to solve this issue? my traveler is in same network as BES10 (Intranet), and without SSL also

this only happened to us recently, and we have tried 3 new devices and 2 user profiles, but the error persists.
