Folders are empty

Had to wipe out the blackberry, reactivated the device, the folder names appear, as they do in Microsoft Exchange Server (Microsoft Outlook Web Access) however all messages stored in folders did not sync up to device.  Tried reconciling with the desktop manager and receive this error: "The computer does not know its message account address.  Either the messaging system is not configured properly or this message system is not supported."  Suggestions? Thank you!

Re: Folders are empty

Did you remove the account from the BES and re-add it, or simply just set a new EA password?

Check out: KB04297 - Turn on Folder Redirection for the subfolders that receive new email messages

Re: Folders are empty

Thank you.  Went ahead and did this below, but existing messages in the folders do not appear on the device.  Is there a way to reconcile the existing messages in the desktop folders into the Blackberry subfolders under mailbox?  This is our issue.  Thank you very much for your response.

Re: Folders are empty

I had the same issue before.

According to the BB tech support I spoke to, by default, existing files in your folders (except for the Inbox) will not sync with your BB device. Only new files that are moved/copied (after provisioning) to the folder will show on your BB device. Do not forget to follow this steps after:

KB04297 - Turn on Folder Redirection for the subfolders that receive new email messages

Re: Folders are empty

One more suggestion. After provisioning, create a new folder then move or copy the files from the old folder to the new one. See if this works!

Goodluck!

Unfortunately it isn't possible.

The best "solution" to this problem is HH OS 4.5 on a BlackBerry handheld and BES 4.1 SP5 which enables remote mailbox search / lookup.

Unfortunately, my carrier (AT&T) is not releasing 4.5 yet! Been waiting for the release but they keep delaying!  :smileysad:
