Folders on BB 9000 Empty?

I have my BB 9000 setup on BES. When I am using the BB I know selecting "Folders" from the Mailbox menu shows me a list of the folders that exist on Exchange and my desktop client, except when I select a folder I get only 2 or 3 of the messages in it or none at all.  Any idea what's causing that?

Re: Folders on BB 9000 Empty?

Do you have folder redirection enabled for all of these folders?

What version of BES are you using?  If for some reason you don't / or are missing recent messages you'd expect you may be able to use remote search to access them.

Re: Folders on BB 9000 Empty?

I think I found the answer (not to my needs though) I was under the assumtion that BES kept the BB in sync with Exchange folders. Not so. If I have messages in folders already read it does not also put them on the BB I have learned.  Evidently only the folders STILL in my inbox that I have moved to client folders willbe seen in folders also on the BB. Which in my estimation is pretty worthless but hey. It is what it is I guess. I guess space is an issue in doing it the way I had hoped it would be. Sure could use access to messages in those folders.....

Thanks for your help

If you have BES 4.1 SP5 you can use remote search ... I use it; it is fantastic.

BES Version is 4.1.4a

Yes all folders are marked.

I think it says if they have been moved into folders on the desktop I won't see them on the BB folders

If you have 4.1.4a, you're running BlackBerry Professional Software (BPS) and not BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES).  BPS doesn't support the remote lookup functionality anyway.

That said, yes, if you move the mail off the server you won't be able to get to it from a BB.

Re: Folders on BB 9000 Empty?

Slightly confused. I'm not moving them off the server if I move email from the Inbox to a folder also on the server. So I am confused.
