How do I disassociate my Blackberry from the corporate Outlook server?

I need to upgrade my Blackbery software from 4.2 to 4.5.  The Blackberry is "saying"  it has to be done on the enterprise server.  Fat chance there since I haven't worked for the company since June.  How do I disassociate myself from the corporate server?

Let's start with what model of BlackBerry you have, an 8700 or ?

If you are currently on OS 4.2, read the link below:

You'll need the second method, more complicated but it's what you need.

Oops! Link added above... I forgot!

Anyway, that's what you need.

Assuming you are actually removed from the previous BES already. IF for some reason you are not, everything will get pushed back to you.

Re: How do I disassociate my Blackberry from the corporate Outlook server?

Thanks.  The link was indeed needed.  I don't believe we had a Blackberry Enterprise Server (as I was the only one with an actual Blackberry).  I think it was just routed to our hosted Outlook server.  It appears as if all the links to the server have been broken already as I have spent two days trying every which way to upgrade my BB (something only someone who is unemployed can do).  I don't know that I have the skillset to follow the instructions and come out with a working BB that has all my apps and data still intact. But, we'll see.

If you were never on a BES server than there is not much you have to do.

You just have to figure out if the messages were forwarded to your BIS account or if the BIS account was set up to get your emails.
