Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

Greetings. After scouring various Blackberry forums and the Blackberry website for help on this I am still none the wiser.

I have managed to get Internet access through our proxy and content filter. It prompts me for my username and password once and then works. This is all good.
My problem is getting access to our corporate intranet. When I try I get an error, 'HTTP Error 503: Service Unavailable'. Currently I have everything set as follows:

BES
Blackberry MDS Connection Service
Two proxies are set
.*://crintranet* with Proxy String set to DIRECT with no username or password
.*://.* with Proxy String set to our proxy server with no username or password

Device
Default browser configuration: Blackberry Browser
Default MDS browser configuration: Blackberry Browser
Default WAP browser configuration: Vodafone Live!

I can access the Intranet from the BES.
I may be doing something stupid (or stupidly not doing something!) ANy help much appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

Try the format in: KB15673 - Guidelines for configuring BlackBerry Mobile Data System Services with an HTTP proxy serve...

Thanks for this but I have the proxy setup okay. My problem now is getting access to our corporate intranet.

Re: Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

Right but you're defining a configuration; the KB article describes both proxied and non proxied configuration.

What happens if you remove all of the proxy config; can you make it to the intranet?

Re: Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

Removing all proxy information has allowed me to view the intranet but now obviously I cannot access the Internet.

Re: Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

What are some sample internal hostnames you'd want the HHs to be able to access?

Are you using a FQDN for internal hosts?

Re: Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

I wasn't using FQDNs but can try.

The internal addresses I need access to are http://crintranet/intra/welcome and http://criis/time25.

Re: Internet & Intranet Access on Blackberry. HOW?

Let me know the results from using an fqdn in the proxy setting (exclusion) and attempting to access.
