Outlook emails not deleted in HH

We are using Bes for Exchange.

Exchange server running is 2003.

Bes version is 4.1.4.16

User HH is 8100 and version is 4.2.1.101

 

I have an user having the problem below randomly from time to time.  Is there any way I can look into and monitor it?

 

Users deleted messages from Outlook client.  By end of the day, he close the Outlook and the message in trash will be empty automatically.  He found that several messages were still in his HH.  Reconcile doesn't help.  User need to delete it manually from HH.

When the items are purged from deleted items and the HH hasn't reconciled yet, the delete (empty trash) is considered a hard delete.

 

You need to enable hard delete support on the BES to handle this kind of reconciliation properly.  Read about hard deletes

Thanks for the information.

But I am very un-sure what happened.

Is it possible for me to check what message hasn't been reconciled?

 

The empty trash when closing Outlook a a batch but only a few message won't sync to his HH.

First thing you need to do is check to see if hard delete support is enabled.

 

Yes you can check, but you'll have to match RefIDs ... frankly, its a more arduous process than it is worth; especially in this case where there appears to be a clear solution.

Will messages moved to PST also considered as a hard delete?

I read the article of the link you provided, thanks.

For the default number 1000 of messages to track.  Is it per user, per agent or per BES server?  What happen if the high watermark reached?

Currently have 7 (seven) BlackBerry Bolds in the company and all but one unit is reconciling all deleted emails... after client deletes email via Outlook the device stores this email until manually deleted. We have turned on Hard Delete on BES for all devices, and restored the registry file on the PC - still nothing, any help would be appreciated.

What if mail is deleted from the HH, is it deleted in Outlook?  What about through OWA / vice-versa?
