Router Bypassing

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I have a little problem activating the simulator on my BES.

I try in USB Connected mode and the Bypass Server appear

in Desktop Manager. The problem is that the server has the

address activationBBR.test.com:4101

Is there a way that the Bypass Server could be something

more like 127.0.0.1:4101 or localhost:4101 ? It's an testing

installation only so I juste need to make connected activation

directly on the BES.

Re: Router Bypassing

What version of the BES are you using? And can you give us a bit more of a run down on your problem, and more info on your environment

Hi,

first of all, thank you for your help.

I use the BES for IBM Lotus Domino on a Windows Server 2003 R2.

Everything is installed on the same server.

I'm trying to activate a Simulator on the BES for testing purpose

but the Bypassing show an address that is not the server's one.

I don't own the domain test.com

The Simulator stay at Acquiring Service connection...

After a while, I receive the message :

Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable.

Re: Router Bypassing

Hrm... Couple of issues.  I guess the first one should be, if your simulator indicates acquiring service connection, this is generally a device/simulator issue. It is saying that it can not get access to the network to do an activation.  Am I am not a notes expert here, but is your Mail environment and BES in the same domain?

Re: Router Bypassing

Yes they are on the same Domain...

What should the Simulator show when I use the option Entreprise Activation in the

Advance options ?

Thank you, have a nice day.

Re: Router Bypassing

To establish if you have BES or simulator issue, try activating known, working BB first. If that works then continue with simulators...
