SQL change compatibility mode for SP4

Hi,

I just wanted to update our BES from 5.0.2 to 5.04.

The Installation says now I have to set the compatibility mode of the SQL Server to 90 or higher inside the mgmt DB.

By I have not found any hint how to do this.

Can anyone help?

Regards

Florian

Re: SQL change compatibility mode for SP4

What version of SQl are you running?

MSDE is no londer supported but SQL express 2005 is

you may need to use SSMS to change it

Download and install MS SQL Server Management Studio Express

Re: SQL change compatibility mode for SP4

Hi,

first step made with your help.

The compatibility mode is set and I can take the next step.

Next error message says 'the BES Admin is not a member of the RTCComponentUniversalServices group'.

That's right our AD has no such group. The choices are now 'Yes' and 'No'.

If I click No, the installation finishes.

If I click Yes the Installation starts and asks if I want to upgrade the DB.

I have clicked yes, and after a while it stops with an error 'unable to uggrade the DB'

Is there any logfile or so, where I can see what the problem is?

Or do I have to do some more things, before installing SP4?

Regards

Florian

Re: SQL change compatibility mode for SP4

Hi,

I have installed SP3 first and after that SP4.

That has worked without problems.

Seems that the patches are not cumulative.
