I have a Pearl 8130 with OS 126.96.36.199 and Windows Live Messenger installed.
When I fire it up, I get the remark: "Service not enabled for this handheld"
As it turns out, you need to modify the Service Book for this to be enabled.
I am connected against a Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP6 for which I happen to be the administrator.
Can somebody now explain me in easy steps:
- how do I modify the Service Book on a BES-server
- what do I have to add to allow WLM to run

Login to your BIS site and resend service books.
You need to have a service book (delivered through your carriers connection; not your BES) to use WLM.

I don't have a BIS site?
Where can I find this?
I can only see in my BES a 'resend Service Book' option.
Also, I have read on multiple forums that the administrator of the BES should activate it.
But never a manual on how to do so..

All BlackBerry handhelds support BIS + BES at the same time. While functionality can be limited to certain degrees through the use of IT Policy; both can work together.
For example: I have my device on a BES and have integrated several email accounts through BIS so I can get personal and work email on the same device
