can recieve but not send

Running BES 4.1.4.15 on SBS 2003 Been running great for over a year now. Over the weekend we started having problems. People can receive emails to their BB but they cannot send. The message is immediately bounced back with a red "X". When you look at the top of the message you see "Desktop Email program unable to submit message." This happens to all 15 BB's. How do I fix this problem?

Re: can recieve but not send

 First off – thanks for both of the replies. I hae read through the information you have provided. They are both the same solution but unfortunately they did not work. Here is what I have done.
1. I was already running Exchange 2003 SP2
2. Manually stopped the Blackberry Dispatcher service
3. Downloaded the Microsoft hot fix - 302864_intl_i386_zip.exe and applied it to the server.
a. Found Emsabp32.dll in c:\windows\system 32 that is version 6.5.7652.15
4. Created the EMSAB_UserAuth_Credentials registry key and set it to 1
5. Created the register entery Mailbox Cache Age Limit and set it to 20 minutes. This was in article http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04707 and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996988.aspx.
6. Shutdown the Blackberry router service for about an hour.
7. Tested by sending myself an email from a hotmail account, I receive the email on my blackberry and in my Outlook. When I respond from my blackberry I get a red X – Desktop Email Program unable to submit message.
8. I get two error messages in the application log on the server.
a. Event ID 20265 - MAPIMailbox::smileyfrustrated:end(ppMAPIMessage) - SubmitMessage (0x80070005) failed
b. Event ID – 20000 - Send() failed: ERR_SUBMIT_MAIL, Tag=171530

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Re: can recieve but not send

I am a member of a protective group, (domain admin) but not all of the 15 other users are. They are just regular user accounts. We all have the same problem thou. I did read the article and completed the following:

1. Inside active directory I right clicked on the OU that contains all of our user accounts and selected properties.
2. Selected the security tab
a. I see the user BESAdmin listed there and the only permission selected for them is special permissions.
b. When I go to the advance button and select the BESAdmin account the only permission they have selected is Send as.
c. The BESAdmin account is the account we created when installing the BES server and is used to start all the services as well.
d. I did notice that these permissions were being inherited. I looked around and found that they are inherited from the domain object in active directory.

Is there something I am missing here?

Re: can recieve but not send

Start from scratch with your permissions.  This is a permissions error.
