BES 5.0 - Windows 2008 and Exchange 2003 environment

My main question is that since ESM 2003 isn't supported on Windows 2008 Server what is everybody using to connect to Exchange 2003 or are they installing the server on Windows 2003?  I would prefer to use Windows 2008.  If you're just using the CDO is that a fully supported setup as well?

CDO 1.2.1 is fine and supported.

just install the CDO 1.2.1 from here instead of ESM 2003 tools.
