Re: BES Express with Exchange 2013 - Mapi Settings error

Dear Raghav, thanks for your response.

We already tried those KBs. We installed the MAPI and CDO settings on both servers, we tested the ports, the DNS lookup, the permissions of the BESAdmin account, the throttling policy on exchange 2013, the local policy, the RPCHTTPProxy registry, the certificate is installed, the checkname resolution works just fine. Is there anything else the we might be missing?

Thanks.

Re: BES Express with Exchange 2013 - Mapi Settings error

We solved the problem at last.

In the Exchange server information, instead of putting the name of the Exchange server you have to put the FQDN of the Global Catalog on your domain, on the mailbox space put the domain user logon name. Do not click the check name button, click Next straightfoward.

I hope this helps. Thanks for your responses.

Re: BES Express with Exchange 2013 - Mapi Settings error

Yes, I made the NTLM change.

I had to call for support and get the service pack.

Make sure to delete MAPI profiles before creating one with the GUID. Logon a computer and setup Outlook via Autoconfig. Then go in to the account settings and you can get the GUID under the Exchange Server name.

Pretty sure support added an incorrect policy for throttling that is causing other issues. It's taken so long I think my client is going to give up and move to Android / iPhone.

Re: BES Express with Exchange 2013 - Mapi Settings error

Thanks for your respond. But I´m little confuse.

Please help me.

Wich was the method that really went success:

1.- The method where do you point to the Global Catalog in the MAPI Configuration? or

2.- Using NTLM authentication, with all configuration with GUID?

And other question please, Did you run the following commands, in the exchange server?

Get-outlookanywhere | Set-OutlookAnywhere -InternalClientAuthenticationMethod NTLM
Get-outlookanywhere | Set-OutlookAnywhere -IISAuthenticationMethods NTLM

If not exist problem, can you give me the most importante steps that you did in the bes installation.

Really thanks. Regards.

Re: BES Express with Exchange 2013 - Mapi Settings error

Biggest issue I think is that you need the updated 4 files. ESRQ00010110.zip It was 3 hours one the phone with support before they told me about it. (Level 2 Engineer)

He also forced BES to use NTLM.

Pretty sure he setup a throttling policy that is bad for other users. I have to troubleshoot that tonight.. Do you ahve CU1 or CU2 installed?
