Hi,
I need help with configuring a blanket policy to allow all apps to access the internet. I am running BES 5.0 and here is an example of my issue.
When I have a BB that is not enterprise activated, the application called PushBI works properly and accesses the internet. As soon as I activate it, the application can no longer access the internet to pull down the demo reports that PushBI shows.
I would like make a policy that covers all BB's to allow any application to access the internet.
I appreciate any help or suggestion!
Thanks,
JayDee

The issues is that some (badly written) applications will only work if the service Book (IPPP for BIBS [IPPP]) is present on the handset.
Once you enterprise activate the Handset, the handset service book sent from the BES is Desktop[IPPP] (for BES MDS connectivity).
You need to have :
1) the BIS browser service code enabled from the carrier on the BES service
2) the softare program your using needs to be written NOT to specifically use the hard coded BIS browser service.(It WONT exist in a BES enabled handset!)
They are explained here: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displ
